Maya Chen·Sound Healer & Forest Therapy Guide

About this experience

Step away from the noise of modern life and into the healing embrace of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Over four transformative days, you will be guided through the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku — forest bathing — allowing the forest to restore your nervous system at a cellular level. Each evening, Maya Chen leads intimate sound healing ceremonies using crystal singing bowls, gongs, and tuning forks, creating a sonic landscape that deepens the day's integration. Accommodation is in private forest cabins with farm-to-table meals prepared by our resident wellness chef.

I've done a dozen retreats and this was the most profound. Maya's sound ceremonies on the second night cracked something open in me I didn't know was closed. The forest cabins are magical — woke up to birdsong every morning.

Came in skeptical about sound healing. Left a convert. The combination of forest bathing during the day and sound ceremonies at night created this incredible rhythm. The food was extraordinary too.

Worth every penny. The small group size (we were 14) meant Maya could really attune to each person. I've been sleeping better than I have in years since returning home.

Deeply restorative. The Blue Ridge setting is stunning — I kept stopping on the forest paths just to breathe. My only note: I wished there was one more free afternoon for solo time in nature.
